Computer freezes and i have to hard restart

what is you current PSU rated at? I know how it feels to have to buy things with little money, my first computer was from a junk yard.

That is close in terms of power and if it is not 80 plus bronze or better then I would certainly suspect it. another thing to check would be the rating of your wall outlet. some are not rated for enough amps, so your power supply simply cannot get the power it needs to supply its full amount. I have "fixed" people's set ups by moving them to different circuits. the record of worst outlet was one that could not let a 300 watt power supply operate at full load. what is your processor? any other thing in your build which may be using fair amounts of power?
