Hi there!
I want to buy a new graphic card to play games and to use some modeling programs, I was going to buy a Asus Strix GTX 960 4GB but some people told me It was a waste of money and it's Bus isn't good.
My budget is 230€-240€
Can someone help me?
For that money get the R9 290 you do not need the R9 390 as it is the same thing, and it just has more VRAM which it cannot use unless in a multi crossfire setup. the R9 290 is as good as the 970 in most tests, sometimes better in higher resolutions.
Pretty sure there are more nvidia users complaining about nvidia's drivers in the last year than amd users complaining about amd's drivers. As far as single card setups anyway. vice versa for multi-card configs.

I'm sorry, I'm not hear to debate. Just offering my advice and Nvidia generally has always had quicker driver support.
It also does perform slightly better than the R9 290..
R9 290 is almost as good as the 970 at 1080P, but it cost less money, and at 1440p and beyond it pulls away. the real question here as asked by jerdle is what power supply this person has right now.
That a 970 outperforms a 290 i don't contest It is however, outside of his posted budget. The question is whether the 290 is within it wherever he orders from, and if his power supply can handle it.

I actually miscalculated 240€ to USD.
It is slightly out of his budget, but he may be able to find one within his budget depending on where he can order from.
For that money, one can get a high end R9 290 with a good PCB and heat sink and Overclock to make up all if not most of whatever difference there is. the 970 would have to be a cheap reference PCB or something not much better. the 9 290 is the best right now for its price at this range.
That PSU is not even 80 PLUS BRONZE, the best I would put in there would be the 960 or R9 270X a R9 280 or 380 would be rather tight to the point of being unsafe at times.
I never tried the ATI graphic cards , I have an Nvidia 650 TI Boost ,It's not that i hate ATI products or anything but I havent consider buying an R9 .
There's an R9 380 2GB at 229€ and an Asus STRIX R9 285 2GB at 249€
