I had a memory leak issue a few months ago when I was on Windows 8.1. I wasn't able to figure out what was causing it so I ended up reinstalling windows. The issue seemingly went away for a few months. Fast forward to yesterday less than a week after I upgrade to Windows 10 and Chrome suddenly stops responding on me. I checked Task Manager and I was using 7.8GB of ram out of my 8. I had to restart my computer because it was unresponsive. I boot up my PC again and it ended up crawling its way to around 6GB over the course of the day. Today and turned on my PC and I was using 6GB of RAM when I opened up Task Manager within a minute of boot. Somebody for the love of god help me

I used Process Explorer to try to find what was going on. Here are my results last night before I turned it off for the night

And here are my results from this morning a few hours after boot. I closed every program I could

Currently downloading the update for my bios. GPU is already updated. I honestly doubt this will do anything but I'll do it anyway.

The memory leak even when I'm not using any browser. Although I suppose maybe there's an extension causing it? I'll change a setting so it doesn't load on startup and see get back to you.

I've also noticed that when I end tasks via task manger it frees up more memory than it says its using on the process tab. For instance with steam I counted up everything labeled steam and it added up to around 100MB. I tended the main steam process which seems to have closed all related processes as well and I got 300MB of ram back. This seems to happen with other things as well.
