I'm trying to set up my raspberry pi for the first time, and the instructions i found on their website said that I should install a formatting tool for my SD card in order to set up NOOBS(the software used for programming raspberry pi). After I did what i was instructed to I clicked format. I got an error message saying, "The Memory Card is write-protected. Please release the write protect switch." Can someone tell me what this means, and any possible solutions? Thank you in advance! I'm new this.

Some memory cards have a write protect switch, so you may just need to move the switch on yours. There is usually a lock type symbol on it and if the switch is there/in that position then you cannot write to the card.
