So I just build my computer last week and from the title, I am using the Fx-8320 processor, but I want to know what is the maximum temperature, because when idling I'll run at about 20-40C, while playing a game like League of Legends I'm at about 50-60C. and when rendering a video I'm at 60-70C. Currently I'm using the Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212 cpu cooler, as well as I have 3 case fans. Is this too hot for the computer or what?

An FX cpu can reach 80c before it starts to drop the core frequency.
60c is a bit warm while under load, if you have the Cpu at stock speed.

If you intend to over clock the Cpu by 500Mhz or 800Mhz then You should be looking for a better air cooler CPU.
But if you want to keep it very cool, go the water cooling route if the case you have has the space to fit a 120mm Radiator and fan of the cooling loop.

The prices are dropping on AIO water coolers, a few days ago I saw one from corsair at about £45 brand new in a computer shop.
For example a FX 8350 with a water cooler and extra case fan set up with an overclock of 800Mhz sits at 32c Idle with my system, under a cpu burn in test it never goes above 45c.

So i would recommend an AIO water cooling loop all day.

I wouldn't recommend a cheap 120mm aio - it'll perform no better (likely worse) than an evo in my experience & there is more to go wrong.

Open hardware monitor isnt that reliable on temps -- you should be checking amd overdrive thermal margin while running a prime blend test .

Whatever temp you get in there is pretty much the max you're ever going to see.

& with an evo you should have a clear 20c or so ,if you don't then something is wrong.

I must be lucky then paying for a Corsair H60. with an idle temp in windows of 32 c with a 800Mhz over clock of the cpu at Idle windows desktop then.

Just personal preference, it`s like having a mechanical hard drive and moving to an SSD drive.
It makes a difference, then you sort of never want to go back to a Mechanical hard drive if you can help it.
It was the same when going from an Air cooling cpu heat sink and fan set up, to a water cooling loop.
I like them because there more compact, and was never keen on a massive air cooling set up.

Like said you can get better cooling loops than AIO set-ups, but it cost a lot more in time and money setting up a good water cooling rig.

Or as madmatt said stick with an air cooler set up.

Anyway I guess the choice is yours Ricefinest.

Well I'm pretty sure my Hyper Evo 212 is done right, and the suggestions for the water cooling is great, but considering I just got it last week upgrading might take a while. But I'll just stress test my computer using Prime 95, but what program should I use to calculate my temperature? Is Coretemp a reliable software for temperature?

The CM evo 212 should be plenty for a stock fx8320 my fx8350 runs @ 4.4 and newer passes 62 celsius, and I also use the CM evo 212

Issues it could be=
to much cooling paste
wrong installation of the evo, airflow direction
you are reading the temps wrong.

Well I have the BitFenix Comrade, and there is 3 places for case fans. Two at the front one at the upper back. I use two intake fans in the front and the upper back one is an exhaust fan, while the cpu cooler fan is facing the front of the case, and the exhaust fan facing the heat-sink. So [Exhaust Fan][CPU Heat-sink][CPU Fan], that's exactly how it looks. By the way when I stress testing my CPU, it didn't go anymore then 60C, as well as Core Temp tells me I'm running at about a steady 55C during a video render. While OpenHardwareMonitor is bouncing from 50C-70C? Which one is correct?

Alright I just ran Prime95 (Small FFT's), and on AMD Overdrive it said I have a thermal margin at 19-21C. Also on HW Monitor while running that test I was at a steady 50C. While running HW Monitor during a video render I also am hovering from 50C-55C and when I'm idling it jumps from 20C-40C. I think it was just Open Hardware Monitor being wrong.

absolutely mate,20c is a very good temp for a prime test & can ultimately be trusted.
You wont hit anywhere near those temps doing anything else apart from multiple simultaneous renders.

forget about the temp monitoring now mate & just enjoy it.
