im running a
corsair vs650w
gigabyte F2A55M-DS2
AMD A10-5800K
6gb (1x2 1x4) 1333mhz
Xfx r7770 DD 1gb
cooler master T2 heatsink

my idle temp is about 55C.
when gaming my temp reaches 80C°
while monitoring my temp i saw it spike up to 100C° a couple of times.
haven't had any crashes though,
was having crashes til recent but figured out that it was only happening with 1 specific game, which underclocking my video card resolved. (CS:GO)

are these temperatures normal? what are possible solutions to lowering the temperature? i just re installed the heatsink, temperatures did not change.

when physically touching the heatsink, its just a little warm, if i reach down to touch the bottom of the heatsink its still just warm,

What sofware are you using to monitor temps??

Fm2/+ boards are notorious for bad readings with 3rd party software/monitoring apps.

Ultimately id only trust the gigabyte easy tune software that comes with the board or preferably amd overdrive monitor.

Run a prime95 test with overdrive CPU status on screen & check your thermal margin under the CPU status tab.
Double figures are what youre after

I doubt your listed tems are correct - you'd get massive throttling or shutdown if they were.
