if you buy a new z170 motherboard
it turn on ok you instal windows everything is good .
now in that point can you be sure 100 % that motherboard is ok and not defective and it will last you years ?
or you need to wait couple of weeks running the motherboard ?

does the companies test the motherboards before shipping ?

Sometimes it depends on the board design.

Some are good quality but will still have a small percentage that fail.

Some are poor quality with a high failure rate but some still work fine.

Some start out OK and fail after a few weeks or months sometimes. This is usually due to weak cooling or cheap power circuit components.

What motherboard(s) are you considering? We can probably help you decide on one with a really good track record to minimize your risk of failure.
