Can't remember password for router. Bought a tablet and want to put wi-fi on. for password what do I do?

You need physical access to the router

Reset it to factory

* IMMEDIATELY * after reset, set a NEW router password that you can remember. long password with upper case, lower case, numbers and/or symbols are strongest.

For WiFi encryption, use something to generate a randomized key or passphrase that will be very hard to break.

Check the user manual of your router . It will show how to access the router configuration in browser.
You need to connect the router with ethernet cable with laptop or pc and then open a specific page mentioned by your manual . then usually username password are admin admin . There you will find the security setting in which the password is visible wide open.
