M.2 SSD with B+M interface, will it work on Asus Z97 Pro Gamer board?

I just bought a ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer motherboard and a Samsung EVO M.2 SSD but I notice that the motherboard requires a M interface M.2 SSD. My question is, has anybody here had used this B+M in a M connector in their motherboards? I don't want to damage either the SSD or the motherboard.

Please help.

Yes. I have a Samsung 850 EVO M.2 SATA 3 6Gb/s ssd installed in an M.2 slot on my ASRock motherboard. I have not experienced any problems.

According to the Asus specifications the Samsung M.2 ssd will work with your motherboard.
