my PC randomly shuts down when i start playing games

My PC is 504MB Ram CPU 2.80 Intel Pentium and when i start playing games like Advent rising it randomly shuts down but when i start playing
wining eleven 9 it continues playing so whats the problem.

System may be overheating, having issues with the video card being faulty and crashing during 3D work. If you have an add-on video card test another one. You should also upgrade your RAM to 2 gig, half a gig of RAM is not even enough to load XP in properly much less run other programs on top of it without having to use the swap file constantly.
