Used disk space is larger than total files?

According to windows, my SSD (120gb) is almost full with 2.5GB free of 103GB, meaning 100.5 GB are used. However, after selecting all the files and clicking properties, only 65GB show up. Where does the extra 35GB come from? I have hidden folders set to visible so it isn't from there.

Try running WinDirStat and see if the result is the same. Whether your program or WiDirStat, please run either utility as an administrator. It looks like you're not doing that. You can run it as administrator by right clicking the application and run as administrator.

Understood. I was thrown when I didn't see the graphical representation of the directory structure. Anyway, I strongly suspect that you're not seeing all what is monopolizing what's take up all the space because the program isn't being run as an administrator on the machine. Just my two cents.
