ever since the windows 10 upgrade, i have had these slow downs in performance, everything loads slowly. when i checked the task manager to see what is eating all the cpu processing, there is this one "program" that is being allocated with 75-80% of my cpu even if i have nothing open. it has no name only a gear icon like others on the task manager. this never happened before the upgrade. any help would be appreciated

Do a full scan on Windows Defender. It could be a virus. Have you tried ending the process itself?
