I just purchased a Freesync-enabled monitor and I cannot get Freesync to work.

I have a Radeon HD 7870 and an LG ultrawide 29" monitor model LG 29UM67P.

I have gone into my monitor OSD settings and enabled Freesync.

I am hooked up via display port cable.

I have the latest drivers from Catalyst dated end of July 2015. Version 15.20.1062.1003-150728a1-187451C.

I have tried googling 'how to enable freesync' and most guides just say to find it under CCC > My Digital Flat Panels > Properties and it is at the bottom of the list. It isn't there.

I have tried restarting to see if that fixes it and it doesn't. Also tried reinstalling the graphics drivers (after a full uninstall) and it still doesn't show up.

I downloaded the Windmill test and it says that Freesync is disabled, I cannot click the toggle to enable it, and at the bottom it says 'AMD Freesync compatible display: NO'.

What am I missing?

Mark, thank you. I had read that the 7800 supported Freesync, and thought that was the end of it. Scouring their website, I never found the information you just provided. Oh well.
