Hello all, just built a new computer with the intention of using an external cd/dvd drive to install windows 7 but just as I get to the initial windows 7 install screen it says that I have an error with some driver not being installed, I assume its the cd/dvd drive driver. I put in the driver disc that came with the cd/dvd as instructed but it could not find any driver. What can I do?

The general solution there is to change from USB 3.0 to USB 2.0. I have already verified that I am for sure using USB 2.0 and yet I still have the issue. Is there anything I can do short of buying a different DVD drive?

you might want to try installing your AHCI SATA Drivers and USB Controller
or on another computer rip an ISO off the disk the make a bootable install
