Ok so to start off, im running Windows 10. When I start up my computer, AVG detects some program in my temp folder called ap.exe, and asks me to delete it, which I do. Now I'm not completely certain if this is the issue, but it may very well be so. Im going to do a clean install anyways (its about time for one) and see whether or not that fixes it. Even if it doesnt, I would really like to know if anyone has ever seen this before and if anyone knows how to fix it without a clean install? Thanks. Im not sure what all info you want, so just ask if you need to see something. Here is a picture I took in the Resource Monitor of three of the eight cores doing what I've described in the title: https://gyazo.com/e62b79d35d989e191d156aecd7f76769 . In case you are wondering, every core is doing this.

Would also like to add that the computer does run very slow as a result, and the processes I view in the task manager do not add up, here is a picture of the processes: https://gyazo.com/be3844a7d441e5ce1d5464b86c3e9f2b

Solution
it can be a malware or virus. clean install will fully fix the problem. but theres an alternative let AVG delete anything that it detects also download "malwarebytes" its a free trial to use and it cleans your pc from all the malwares that eat your ram and cpu.

Yeah thats what I was thinking nonetheless. I'll try out malwarebytes and see what that does. I am currently doing a full system scan with AVG to see what comes up, if anything. Ill post back after doing scans with both softwares.

Alright, so Malwarebytes did pick up on some kind of trojan dropper, and about 12 other things, deleted those, and restarted. Now, I think what I was seeing in the Resource Monitor is just a current bug with Windows 10 or something where the Monitor doesn't seem to have a constant read on the CPU, which is why it looks like it is constantly being loaded and unloaded, as it is still doing it now, but the CPU usage is not spiking to 100%, and the stuttering lag I felt before is absent (forgot to mention that). When watching the graph on the regular task manager (which updates twice as fast) the spikes do not appear. Although, doing the Malwarebytes scan and deleting those files did bring down CPU usage and fixed a minor lag/memory leak problem that was occurring. Everything seems to be running smooth after normal operation, so I believe my problem is fixed. Thank you!
