Hi,
I have recently bought Philips SPA7000B 5.1 Channel Audio System.
I have Gigabyte GA-970A DS3P Motherboard which supports 2.1/5.1/7.1 CH Audio System.

I have connected all the speakers to the sub woofer. I need help in connecting Sub-woofer to PC.

My PC has Three connectors:
Line-In.
Line-out.
Mic.

My Audio system has following connectors for INPUT:
1) FM ANT
2) AUX - Left & Right
3) CD/DVD - FL & FR
CEN & SW
SL & SR

At present I am using AUX to connect to Line- out of my PC. Hence my system is using it as 2.1 Channel.

Please help me configure in a way that I can utilize all the three connectors of PC.

That mobo only has 2 channel line out. 5.1 is supported on the SPDIF digital out header on the board but you don't have that input on the Philips. Hard to find any info on that Philips but the only link I could find says it has USB. Try connecting that to the PC if it does. Check if there are any drivers for download.
If you are limited to 2 channel output from the PC and 2 channel input to the Philips (aux or CD) you can't get digital surround sound only analog. Not nearly as good.

Any other way that I can get digital audio out of it?
I just want to utilize it to its fullest, because of current config, system is treating it as 2.1 Ch instead of 5.1
Please help me out. May be I bought this product it in a hurry. I can't undo that.
Please help me in finding a workaround.

Interesting. The manual diagram shows a bit different:

Tried that. Didn't work out.

Is there any way I connect Speakers to PC via USB?

Can you suggest some audio card which has an option to USB?

I am sorry, I am not an expert, hence asking so many questions.

I am from India, my budget is INR 2000 (USD 30).

One more question, what do you think problem might be? I mean, why my 5.1 Ch Audio system is being treated as 2.1 Ch by PC? Is it because internal sound card is at fault? Or the audio system doesn't support input from PC?

Here's an image of connectors on Audio system.

Connected audio system to pc via 3 Y cables.

1) FL - FR to Green
2) SL -SR to Blue
3) CEN - SW to Pink

Whenever I connect these Y cables to PC, I get a pop up in Realtek Sound Manager. While connecting 1) FL-FR I chose Front speakers. 2) Sl-SR ==> Rear Speakers 3) CEN- SW ==> Center/Subwoofer.

Once setup is done, from drop down menu I choose speakers as 5.1 Ch.Then I click on "Test"
During test only FL-FR create sound. Others don't. But when I play music, all of them work. While playing games, I can hear the music but not the conversation in game.
Then I went to Sound manager and changed the speaker type to "2.1 Ch". So while playing games, I can hear both background music as well as conversation.
I don't understand what's happening.

Hi, sorry for delayed response.

I remapped, front audio port as "Rear" speakers and front Mic as sub woofer.
But I got the same results.
It seems, New sound card is the only remaining option.
Could you please recommend a card. Budget is $30
