I can't plug the USB cable from my case into my motherboard!

First time builder here. I managed to complete the build part of my computer, and as I was doing the wiring, I came across an issue with my usb connector cable from my case. I'm putting it in the correct way, it goes a good bit down into the pins before it stops. If it helps at all, I am using an ASUS AM1M-A micro atx motherboard, and my case is a Rosewill R363-M-BK. It is a usb 2.0 port for the case (two wires in one plug, not two separate plugs), and my motherboard manual says the pins are for usb 2.0 as well.

Additional information:
There are two identical pin sets in the motherboard labeled USB56 and USB78. It does not fit into either on of these ports. I believe the 56 and 78 are related to the different ports I could plug my USB items into.

Thanks in advance!

Try applying more force the cable, it will go in once you use enough force. Also, apply force DIRECTLY DOWNWARDS, otherwise the pins may bend and you're in trouble
