Hey,

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3521. Which I have found out is not capable of finding a wireless 5ghz signal. I'm not an expert on this stuff, but I was wondering if there is some kind of plug-in adapter that can allow the CPU to do that, or if there are drivers available to install that can help with that?

I did find this one Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005SAKW9G?redirect=true&ref_=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i1

But I'm not sure exactly if this does what I need it to do, or if you have to have the capability to connect to 5ghz in order for it to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! :)

Using Windows 8.
Modem is Arris TG1672 (I think)
I have drivers 802.11n and 802.11g and 802.11b

Yes the USB adapter you listed could allow you to connect to 5Ghz networks. It isn't a CPU limitation, it is a radio limitation on the WIFI card installed. There have been complaints about the Asus drivers and Windows 8. I don't know if all of them have been resolved.
