Will 16GB (2x 8GB) RAM work in slots other than recommended slots?

Hello, I recently finished building a new computer that I put together myself and when I plugged it in everything worked right except the RAM. I have an ASUS Maximus VII Formula motherboard and I was getting a Q code 55 when I turned the computer on. After messing with different configurations to see if it was a faulty RAM stick I was able to get the computer to boot up with both sticks in the B1 and B2 slots instead of the recommended A2 and B2 slots. The BIOS loaded up and also seemed to recognize the 16GB of RAM so essentially I want to know if I will run into any issues by not having the RAM sticks in the recommended slots for this Motherboard.

Here are the parts that I have in the computer:

Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VII Formula
