I just purchased a PNY CS1111 240GB SSD to upgrade from the stock HDD that's in my laptop. I want to clone the old drive to the new one and have the USB cable and software to do it. For the life of me I cant get the new drive to show in windows so I can clone the old one to the new one. The SSD shows up in bios and I also formatted it using a windows disk (The OS disk for different computer) as a forum post I read suggested. The SSD is recognized in BIOS but not in disk manager or windows. I apologize if this has already been answered somewhere but I couldn't find a solution that worked.

Never mind.. Problem solved. The drive was showing up in device manager as removable storage that the computer didn't install the drivers for. Im not sure how I overlooked it but I installed the drivers and the drive appeared. It needed to be formatted again but it seems to be functioning normally. Sorry for the unnecessary posting.
