PSU Clicking (Positive it is not the fan)

Hello all. Lately, my computer has been doing an annoying clicking sound. Last week I checked all the fans and discovered one of the two fans on my 560 TI Twin Frozr fans was completely seized. I ended up disassembling both fans on the GPU and applying lubrication inside, which while not insanely difficult, is beyond the basics of assembly and disassembley. After that, both fans ran smoothly and quietly.

In the past few days however, there has been a fast, constant clicking sound. I isolated the noise to my PSU, so, of course being out of warranty, I took it apart! I just finished an EE class on circuits and know better than to poke around a PSU with my fingers or screwdriver, so I simply took the case off, looked inside, and lubricated the fan.

The sound went away for less than a day (and I believe the sound was not caused by the fan, as I tightened the screws on the case and the sound stopped).

The clicking has returned and is driving me crazy! It is not the fan, as I completely lift the fan off the PSU when the case of the PSU is open, and stop the fan completely from moving with my finger. The clicking sound does not change in speed, volume, nothing. I have ZERO idea what it could be.

I would disconnect the fan cable from the 4 (?) pin connector on the PSU circuit board, but the connection is lodged way back next to the edge of the PSU case and next to some things I would prefer not to touch.... However, I assume it can't be the fan since I force the fan to come to a stop and there is still the sound.

Any ideas?!

Solution
