What frequency of ddr4 ram should I buy?

Solution
If, all you're doing is gaming, then 8gb should be enough. If you do many things, then I would upgrade to 16gb, if you can afford it. The price difference isn't great. The next system I build will definitely be with DDR4, although that might take a few more years. What country do you live in(So that I can work PCPartpicker for all it's worth), is it Australia? Also, is this for the X99 or Z170 chipset(So I know whether to look for a 2 or 4 channel set)? BTW, that is good ram.
If it's a Z170 set and you can swing 16gb, then I would buy this, https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f43000c15d16gvr
Same thing you're looking at, just in a 2x8 set.

DDR4 is still relatively new, and they're working kinks out in the chipsets. I'm not sure there's much to be gained above 3000. Look for the lowest latency ram at that speed. It just so happens that the link above fits both criteria.
