The only reason I don't have a case is because im going to reuse my corsair 300r carbine. this will be my 4th build.

PSU is overkill for a 970.

i do a lot of overclocking and so on. im running a 1k watt right now but i wanted a new one.

Even with overclocking 1000w is way overkill , but it can hurt either.

That psu could run 3 970s even with overclocking. For the ram get a 2x8gb kit rather than 4x4gb.

The R9 390 performs better on most games than the GTX 970, but if you are overclocking the GTX 970 runs cooler so you will probably have less heat issues with the GTX 970.

the ram was just an example to get the photo out. i like being safe and plan on buy more GPU's sooner. already changed them over.
