gtx 980 getting 40 frames on battlefield 4

a couple days ago i put my new g1 gaming 980 in. i ran battlefield and got 70-100 frames. i wanted to see if i can get more frames so i downloaded a cpu unparker. today im getting on average about 50 and it sometimes goes down to 30. I saw a couple of youtubers that get 100+fps constantly. i dont know if its the cpu unparker or what. also skype hasn't been working sometimes. like if i call somebody sometimes skype just crashes. this is new. please help.
specs:
harddrive - Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB,
cpu- amd fx-6300
gpu- gtx 980
motherboard - Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P AMD Socket AM3+
psu - Corsair CX750 Builder Series ATX 80 PLUS Bronze Certified
ram: 16gb gskill ripjaws ddr3
windows 10

well my gpu stays under 70c and my cpu is usually at 70 while gaming. right now my cpu is at 45c

70 is too high for AMD CPU's and 45c idle doesn't sound great either, what cooler do you have?

shit i didnt mean to pick that as a solution. i have the stock cooler on my cpu, and 3 corsair fans, 2 intake and 1 outtake. my cpu was at 45c bc i just turned on my pc. now its at 50c

Is the cooler seated firmly? You may want to reapply your thermal paste, 50c when not under stress is high.

What are you using to check temps? Use OverDrive to monitor thermal margin. At idle it should be near 50. And load it should be 10.

Use AMD OverDrive, find the thermal margin page, check those numbers at idle and at load.

Alright. So your CPU is thermal Throttling. Meaning, it is slowing down to keep it cool. This is indicated when the LOAD numbers become red and show -x, x being the number.

So you can either

A. get new thermal paste and redo your stock cooler installation

B. Get a new cooler, like the hyper 212 and install that.

Windows 10 also unparks your CPU. So you should also try a reinstall of your OS.

not "broken", but that is simply not healthy for a CPU, to run at those temps. It simply shortens its life span.

And like i said before, how the hell can you go and get a 500$~600$ GPU, and get no aftermarket CPU cooler??? I am honestly completely taken away with all this....

And then, you are getting one of the best thermal pastes around, and the cooler you are buying is a budget one?? what the hell??

This thread makes no sense at all.... lol I'm feeling confused!!

A hyper 212 is no joke. It out performs MANY AIOs at a cheaper price. I honestly don't care. If it gets the job done, who cares. I have a 5820k with a hyper 212. I have a BETTER OC, than my 120 aio.
