Task Manager says my disk is at 100%. Should I get an SSD?

Every time I turn on my computer, when I log in and start task manager, it says my disk is at 100 or 99%. This obviously explains why the programs boot so slowly to start (my boot time is about 20 seconds). I just want confirmation that an SSD would help.

By the way, I have a SATA 3 Seagate Hard Drive running at SATA 2 due to my motherboard not supporting SATA 3.

Solution
Everyone's PC uses 100% disk at startup because the OS is loading files and programs.

Having an SSD will reduce the time spent at 100% but not reduce it entirely. My PC is very much usable as soon as I log in (with an SSD) although the disk is at 100% for a short period of time (less than 20 seconds I'd say)

its normal cause it loads all the programs. Sata 3 and sata 2 is no difference for you hdd for an ssd you lose speed but not that much. Its not only having an ssd though ur programs starting at start play a big role too. But yeah whatever you need ssd is a must nowdays makes huge difference and you will enjoy it.Buy one small for windows ,Samsung evo ones are nice with big warranty but technicaly any ssd will do. I hope I helped.

Technically yes . In my own experience though is crapy situation. It may work well it may not they are not stable and they crap out after some time.I had 2 pci sata adapters and they both had problems . You can try one nothing to lose . As far you want to check for ssds this is a beautiful site have real world benchmarks from multiple users with different components. http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/ 850 evo have 5 years warranty I would advice you to go to these . They are the fastest too .

If 100% is only on startup is normal based on the apps you having on startup. One ssd will really help you with that. Even on sata 2 try that adapter though. With Samsung evo the os transfer will be easy too u wont need to reformat or lose files.
