I'm talking about without bottlenecking. Right now I have an Asus z87-A motherboard with a GeForce EVGA GT 730 2GB GDDR5 64bit graphics card. I can overclock the Pentium to around 4.2-4.5 probably if I get a new cooler.
A more appropriate card might be a GTX750ti or GTX960 as a guess.
It really depends on how cpu or graphics limited YOUR games are.
Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.
Depends on the game. Any game needing a strong 4 core is going to have a bottleneck with higher end gpu's but games which are less cpu demanding will perform fine.
I wouldn't go higher than a GTX 960 or 380, in cpu heavy games even they will be held back by your CPU.
If me I would opt for the 960 and accept in some games it may be held back a bit. Depends on budget if you want to stretch that far and if you think you might drop in an i5 or i7 later.
