Hi, I need some help in identifying what appears to be some faulty hardware on my computer.

I recently upgraded my system. I upgraded my motherboard, processor, and RAM, but I suspect this time I have a problem with my video card. Earlier today, it started having a weird screen then would restart after a while. Caps Lock key would also stop working while this is happening.

I've uploaded a picture of what happens in the screen when this happens --> Dropbox link

I hope someone can help. Thanks.

Solution
Yeah, something seems wrong w/ temps. Just for a quick test, maybe force fan to 100% to see if there's any change. Maybe it will take longer to crash, if at all w/ max fanspeed. This way you'll know if it's temp related.

No it's been over a month or so since the upgrade. My computer runs fine for around 30-60 minutes then would get a screen like that and stop working. I'm not on Safe Mode.

Sorry I don't know how to tell that. I'm currently using a Radeon HD 5750 though. If you know how I can track that I'll look it up.

But if it helps, I'm not doing much at all. All that I'm running is VLC and Firefox at the moment.

I just checked Catalyst Control. It said Temperature was 60 degrees Celsius and fan was at 57% speed. I ran Steam so that I could run a game to get the figures up, but it crashed before I could play anything.

I just booted up and it's already at 53C. The fan is running, but the card doesn't seem that dirty. I'll try to buy an air duster later then I'll spray it to try to clear the dust. I think when it was cleaned they only used a brush to clean it.

Update:
Here is a screenshot from Catalyst --> dropbox pic

Sorry took me a long time to reply. But you deserve to be picked as the solution provider so I came back in. I opened up the casing and it stopped. So it's definitely a heat problem I don't know what it is yet, but at least I know what it is. Thanks 1LiquidPC!

Glad to hear you figured out the cause of the problem. Now to figure out how to bring the temps down. Were you able to try the air duster? Also, what are your system specs since the upgrade, your PC case, and the kind of case fan setup you're using? Is the PC tucked away under a desk on carpet by chance, or up on a desk? May need to improve the case fans/airflow setup to bring the temps down.
