So I'll get right to the point.

I recently upgraded my internet connection from an ADSL line to cable internet for faster speeds. Before I was using a Linksys WAG 200G router (it's ancient but turns out it's awesome) and when I upgraded my internet my ISP provided me with a Humax HG100RE. Since I've changed the router, I've found that the connection to my wireless devices (laptops, mobile phones, Apple TV, Samsung TV) disappears from time to time interrupting whatever it is I am doing. This problem never occurred with my Linksys router and I used that for over 5 years I think.

I tried solving the problem by adjusting the channel on which the new router broadcasts but it occurs on every channel. So I thought it would be a brilliant idea to connect my new router to the old one with an ethernet cable and broadcast the internet through the old Linksys router.

Also, I'm hoping that this solution can solve the abysmal security feature present in the Humax router that I have. Anyone on my network can go to 192.168.1.1 and change the WiFi password (there is literally no login page before that, it's completely absurd).

So, would this be possible, and if so, how would I have to go about it?
