When should we see the I7-6700k available in the U.S.A.?

Its a shame that those of us that are wanting to upgrade to the new Z170 platform paired with the new I7-6700k aren't able to yet due to the delay in the I7 being available here in the states. I have purchased my mother board and memory and just need a processor. Its sad that Intel can hold up all of these upgrades who are wanting the i7 over the new i5. Has anyone heard of a possible date they will be available for sale in the states? Newegg says is "coming soon" and Amazon has no mention of it yet.

I've had my new build waiting for motherboard and CPU. I was hoping to get them before uni starts back up in September. Honestly, I think Intel is doing this on purpose to increase demand. Here's some news coverage- http://www.kitguru.net/components/cpu/anton-shilov/asustek-and-intel-confirm-global-shortage-of-intel-skylake-microprocessors/ That being said, I'm still awaiting the release of Gigabyte's GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 miniITX motherboard.

Aparently intel are hoping to resolve supply issues soon. Whatever soon means. The intel expo is next week so I would expect so movement around the 18th.

I agree though it a bit annoying.

Thank you CSPhobos, Very informative, solved the mystery for me. Looks like our wait for the i7-6700k will continue for a bit longer. Thanks again for the link and information. Marked as best solution.

It is false advertising. They do not have the i7-6700K in stock. Youll get the motherboard and sit and stare at it. Been 2 weeks for me now and after 10 days got the back ordered email. IT will appear first as at drop shipper, that really is drop shitter as youll shit if you ever actually see the CPU.
In short do not order anything from tiger direct., dont do like me and go off past experience years ago. Do some searching they are not the same company,.

It's a little overpriced; the i7 should be $350 and that board about $150. In Canada they are marking it way up but they are also calling the 6600k a $550 chip on sale for $369 so I guess I shouldn't expect much .

I used to use tiger all the time but you are right, they are not the same company they used to be.
