I am having a major issue. I cannot seem to figure this out or find any solutions on the internet. When I use a wifi connection, most websites do not work. I can access facebook without problems and google without problems, but most websites do not work at all. They never establish a connection. If I connect my computer directly to the router or modem, there are no issues.

This problem persists in my embedded wifi card and also a USB one. It doesn't matter which one I use.

It also persists between Windows 7 and Ubuntu. It affects both operating systems in the same way.

I would try using a different DNS server if you haven't yet. Try the Google public DNS at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to see if it helps resolve pages.

You can either set it in your router, or an easier option for a quick test in Windows 7 would be to go to the network control panel and select change adapter settings, then highlight your wireless connection and select properties. Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 in the white box and then select properties. On the general tab at the bottom, select use the following DNS server addresses and enter those two.

I found out what the problem was. My stepfather at my house had a network analyzer on his phone, and got tired of me downloading things from a seedbox, so he used my MAC address to apply some restrictions to my PC. I found a way to spoof my MAC address and I was able to circumvent the restrictions. LOL
