hi all

I recently upgraded my sony vaio vpcec3cfx (win7 preinstalled) to windows 10
I have a video playback issue ... since I upgraded ... there is no video only sound appears
my video card is ati radeon hd 5470 ... I clean reinstalled the driver but same problem persists

so I got back to win 7 to see ...and there is no problem in win 7
so problem is with win 10 and video driver
kindly some one help me in this issue ... it also doesn't play facbook and daily motion videos either

@captain
and they are also saying that they will not provide any drivers for win7 preinstalled machines.. they will only support their premium series win 8 and 8.1 models... so wht should we then ? there gotta b some solution ...

I tried to install Windows 10 ( from Windows 7 home premium)on my Sony Laptop VPCEB1C5E. The graphics card is HD5650. and Catalyst install a driver that makes black screen on video played by several softwares ( Windows Media player, Emby...). Tweaking MPC-HC is possible and VLC is playing OK.
The solution I found for my PC is to uninstall all AMD video drives and the elementary Microsoft basic driver is replacing the AMD one. The overlay now works and the video is now OK. Alas you loose the possibility to use the HDMI and /or VGA outputs of your laptop for an external screen.
Little hope from Sony to correct this.
