Hello everyone,
A few months ago I built a gaming PC with the following specs and all is working well:
i5 4690k
GTX 970
MSI Krait Edition z97 SLI Motherboard
2 Bit fenix spectre case fans and 2 stock NZXT fans
Cooser Master Hyper 212 EVO
NZXT s340 Case (black)
Artic Silver 5 Thermal Paste

These are all of the relevant specs for my issues. To get straight to my questions, my idle temperatures for my CPU and GPU are around 40 degrees Celsius which I understand is high (especially considering I live in London which is very cold). Under 100% load my CPU has gotten to 75 degrees and my GPU has gotten to 70 degrees. Just to let you know my ambient room temperatures are around 25 degrees. What can I do about this? A point worth mentioning is that my case has 4 fan slots; 1 at the back, 1 at the top and two at the front. I think I have put the two front and top fans as intake and the rear fan as exhaust but I am not sure. 1) Is this a good fan orientation setup for my system? 2) How can I know if my fans are in exhaust or intake by looking at them. This could be the reason why my system is so hot.

Please help as I have invested a lot of money into this PC and want it to last for as long as possible. What can I do about these problems?

Kind regards, Tamir

Solution
Check the fan orientation is in at the front and out at the top and back .

But your issue is probably that you have either
1/ too much arctic silver on the cpu .
or
2/ that the heatsink is not firmly mounted
or
3/ you are overclocking beyond the cooling capacity of the cpu cooler
