Hi I just want to know that I live in an area where there are many power outages. So I have a 3000w ups which is connected to several ceiling fans and lights but is it safe to run my pc on it. I also had an old pc which ran perfectly on it but it was quite old and I bought a new one and I don't want to risk it getting damaged so is it safe for me to run my pc on it the ups is worth 500 dollars and I want to use my pc for gaming

Solution
High voltage fluctations can be dangerous, but if you have permanently ~1500W of excess, it doesn't matter: your PC will just take the power it needs. It's the same as if you bought a 1000W PSU por a PC which only needs 300W. I would definitely say it's safe to connect your PC.
Any electrician/expert feel free to correct me if i'm mistaken.

Cheers mate

If your old PC ran perfectly on it, then it's reasoneable safe to say you can plug a PC to it, BUT not just any PC. You should check your new PC power consumption (watts) and check if you have enough "free watts" (add up all the other stuff's wattage consumption) in your 3000W PSU to fulfill that extra power consumption when you connect your computer.

Yes I have calculated and my pc consumption and it is sufficient but I also wanted to know will there be any voltage fluctuations if I turn on my pc on it and I have about 1500w excessive. I have seen that voltage fluctuations can be dangerous
