PC is louder after new psu is installed

I installed and new 500w psu before for my pc for when I get my new gpu.

Anyway my pc is a lot louder than it should be. Any reason why or is it normal?

The psu I replaced was a 300w.

Have you localized the noise? Is it from the power supply? CPU fan(s)? Front/rear fans? Graphics Card?
Did the new power supply cables impede your airflow so that your temps are higher and your fans have to run faster?

You will have to find the source of the noise.

It is definitely my PSU I just checked and nothing felt too hot and the pc is getting air to it. Also the air from the PSU fan is cool, not hot, cool air.

What make and model PSU is it? Have you googled to see if others are complaining about the noise?

Considering the psu I bought was cheap, many people have said it is loud. I guess i'll have to buy a better one.

The SeaSonic units I have had are all quite. There are a number of newer power supplies that run fanless when the power draw is low.
