Maybe I'm being really stupid right now, but I can't figure out how in the world to install this fan (NZXT Airflow 140mm)!

That's the screw that came with it, but it does not even fit in there and even if it did, there is no threading inside those holes and it obviously won't reach the other hole that would be against the case. And if you're thinking about going in from inside the case, those holes are not nearly big enough for these thick screws. And the screws that were inside the case attached to the old fans are long thin ones but as it turns out actually not long enough to reach through both of these holes and have enough length left to actually go into the case.
I'm really confused now.

Case is Corsair 750D.

I think the mount was meant to be done from the inside.
The fan has plastic holes and the screws will create a thread when you screw it into the fan hole.
It may take some force to turn the screw.
Make certain that the fan rotation is properly oriented.

The screw most likely goes from the outside of the case into the fan. That is normally the way you install a fan. Even if it doesn't why do you think the screw needs to go through both holes? The screw only goes through the side closest to the mounting surface. If you really need to use it like that stick it through the bottom hole then run your screwdriver through the top hole to turn it
