I need a good Graphics card for cheap I know the r9 280 29 270x and the gtx 960 is good and pretty cheap but I want something run run bf4 far cry 4 bf hardline h1z1 etc high end games help?

R9 280 would be a good option for 1080p. If you can get a 280x or 380 on sale, even better.

R9 285 is also good. Don't let the 2GB of vRAM fool you. It uses GCN and advanced texture compression and will be fine. It runs in the same league as the 280, 280x and 960.

Except the R9 380 is a rebadged 285. It has an OC, but that only netted about 1 FPS.

The mistake I made was putting the 960 over the 380/285. The rest is accurate.

So ultimately:
In terms of performance the list breaks down (fastest to slowest):
R9 390
GTX 970
R9 280X
R9 380/R9 285/R9 280/GTX 960 (with the 960 a little behind)
R9 270X

The 285 they used is the windforce model, which is overclocked @ 973 core.

A reference 285 runs @ 918.


A reference 380 runs at ghz edition. This is going to be faster as most people don't overclock.
