Hi
Things are not going too smooth for me. I recieved my new gtx 980ti today and popped it into my pc (replacing my 2 gtx 670s). When I hit the start button the pc tries to boot but restarts after about 3 seconds and the second time it stays on, all fans are spinning and the graphics card is glowing as it should BUT my screen doesn't get any signal.

So I then plug in a single gtx 670 to uninstall the old drivers but that didn't work either. Tried to boot into safe mode but still the same result. FYI the computer restarts after 3 seconds every time I switch card.

Anyway, the next thing I'm about to try is to update my bios but the live update 6 wouldn't work for me, keeps telling me v. 2.00 is installed no matter how many times I install 2.C0 or what it was. According to MSI's website my z77a-s01 isn't SLI compatible (even though you can see the SLI mark under the #1 PCIe slot) http://eu.msi.com/product/mb/Z77AS01.html#hero-specification. But I know for a fact that it is. Does this matter? Will the update break my motherboard if it is made for non-sli motherboards?

Also if you have any experience with my original problem and info that might help, I will be so happy.

Thanks

I'm going to bump this thread by posting my specs:
Msi Z77A-s01
Evga gtx 670 (working) asus gtx 980ti (not working)
8Gb Corsair vengeance 1600Mhz ddr3 ram
Cooler master 720w silent pro psu
Samsung 128Gb ssd
2x seagate barracuda 2tb hdds
I5 3570k
Windows 10

The thing with my motherboard is that it's specially made for inet in Sweden and I think that's why the spec on msi's website doesn't fit with my motherboard. It doesn't have a video out either so I don't think I can select PCIe as my main video device in bios.

Help is appreciated

After being in contact with the MSI support they provided an update for my motherboard and it actually fixed my problem with the video card, however, windows 10 broke in the process so I'm now using windows 7 instead. I think it's a win-win situation though, didn't really like w10 that much anyway. If anyone has this problem in the future, and you haven't tried flashing your MB, try it.
