Looking For an SSD

I'm looking for an ssd for my computer I want to put my OS and some games on it I have 2 questions is an ssd worth it and if It is what would you recommend (I don't want to spend a lot)

SSD definitely worth it. It will improve your overall general experience, for sure.

Samsung 850 EVO is the value choice.
Consider also slightly cheaper Crucial BX100 / OCZ ARC 100.

An SSD will make everything read quicker and feel snappier (assuming the data is on it) - they have significantly higher read rates, and have very low access latency due to a lack of moving parts. They are, however, comparatively expensive when compared to hard disks.

If you're looking for one, a ~250GB Samsung 850 EVO or Crucial MX100/MX200 would be good-quality (quick and reliable), inexpensive choices.

Only if they tend to have very slow loading times with lots of disk activity. I put most of my games on a spinning disk - many games just gobble up space these days.

The 850 EVO is a little faster than the Crucial drives, and has (IIRC) a higher endurance rating and longer warranty (3yrs vs 5yrs).

In the UK, the BX100 is £8 cheaper than the MX100, which is £1 cheaper than the MX200, which is £2 cheaper than the 850 EVO.

Only if you play that game a lot (i.e. load it a many times), or have lots of space free. Generally, where you'll see a difference is where a game has a long loading time due to disk activity (either loading a lot of data, or doing a lot of "thrashing"), although if a game is loading data mid-level you might notice smoother in-game performance with it being on an SSD (essentially, it'd be loading the data faster and with less latency, so you might be less likely to get a bit of lag/FPS loss during the load).
