What's an acceptable price on selling a near new gpu.

Trying to sell an EVGA GTX 970 FTW+, it's 2-3 months old but has barely been used and has 2 years and 9 months left on the warranty. Bought it for £280, just wondering how much I could expect to get for it. Had some offers, some £150 and some £200 but I think they are too low.

Solution
Even if people list it for 250, does not mean it will ever sell at the price.

You also need to make sure the warranty is transferable to the new owner.

You can probably get over 200 for it, but I doubt you will see 240.

If it is in great working condition, i wouldn't go any less then £230. I reckon you should sell it for £240 as it will still give the same performance as a brand new GPU, it even has warranty, so people really cannot complain.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks, it is in very good condition. Well I have it listed a few places as £250 ONO, so hoping around the £240 mark as you said.

i know this is an old post, but im trying to sell my MSI gtx 680 Lightning for £125 and im consistently getting offers of £60-£80, do you think that price is right, or should i hold out for a better price?

You can get a B grade GTX 770 (basically the same thing but overclocked) for £90 at Overclockers, £80-£85 is about right, it's starting to age.

I sold my SLI set for 150.00 USD. The GTX 960 is about the equivalent, people (smart ones) are going to see that is a 150 dollar card and think a 2-3 year old card should be worth about half of that to get value. You have to sell hardware yearly if you don't want to take a huge loss OR use it long enough that resell value doesn't matter.
