Now, I have had this problem for so long. I have asked Reddit and they gave me nothing. I'm hoping someone can help me here.

Issue:
Upon using my computer, the RAM usage just goes up gradually(usually I'll do something like play a game, then when I quit the game it suddenly climbs a bit higher, but never seems to go past 7GB(so far). I can restart my computer and SOMETIMES it will go back to 1.9 GB in use.

Task Manager tells me nothing, the max ram a program is using is ~350 MB, and nothing else comes close to that.

Specs:
CPU: AMD FX 6350
GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws 8 GB DDR3 Memory

Windows version?

Windows 10, however it happened on Windows 8 as well.

All chipset and hardware drivers on the latest version?

Yes

All windows updates, up to date?

Only one;has to do with the OS

Malware and virus scanner definitions up to date and you've done a complete system scan using both?

I will do that now.

Have you run a Rootkit detection utility?

No.

TDSSKiller found nothing.
HitmanPro found no threats.
RougeKiller found one PUP called lightshot. I use that for taking screengrabs of things.
Additionally, MalwareBytes and Avast found nothing.

Ok, so I did the last solution on the article. I'm going to restart my computer as well is do the update and get back to you on it.

Also, I should have mentioned this before, but CPU usage is also affected.

Ok, upon restarting my computer the RAM was at 2.4 GB. After playing KSP(bringing the RAM usage up to 4 GB) it returned to 2.4 GB. I'm hoping the issue is solved and I will keep you updated.

Ok, after using Mozilla Firefox for a while the RAM usage jumped to about 3.6 GB, but returned to 3.2 GB. It looks like the issue is still persisting.

EDIT: Starting to get the feeling this might be a driver issue.

Not really sure how to check what the latest version is, but I do know the version.

American Megatrends Inc. 2501 4/7/2014

Also, after leaving my computer on overnight doing nothing the RAM usage went up to 4.5 GB

Alright, I have more information. Under task manger >Performance>Memory>Memory and looking at the memory composition area it says that a majority of the RAM that is in use is by the processes, drivers or the OS.

Did you do an upgrade or clean install to Windows 10? I'd recommend doing a clean install. Since this problem existed on the prior OS version, it's likely related to an older driver or other part of the OS that carried over to the new installation during the upgrade. A clean install will likely correct the issue. You can do a clean install as follows:

1) Check that the software and hardware you mostly use are comptible with Windows 10 and have drivers available

2) Make sure to update all necessary drivers and Windows updates (Doesn't apply when doing a clean install)

3) Some devices might need a specific driver to operate with Windows 10, it might be a good idea to download these Windows 10 compatible versions prior to upgrading to have them ready. Save them on an external drive, flash drive or DVD disk.

4) Backup all and any important files from your computer to a cloud service or external harddrive

5) Create recovery media for your current Windows install, if you have a OEM pc/laptop refer to the user manual or check the website of the manufacturer for how to create the recovery media for your device

(some people have been unable to use the rollback feature after upgrading to Windows 10)

How to do a clean install

Dowload the ISO here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Use this tool to create USB or DVD installation media using the downloaded ISO: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool

Well, that's ok because you need to do the upgrade first anyhow, prior to doing a clean install, or you would have negated your ability to activate later on. So you're fine. I'd do the clean install now. I'll bet it cures the issue. Make sure to follow the directions in the Clean install tutorial EXACTLY, deleting ALL existing partitons on the target drive. If you have important files on the current installation or other partitions on the drive that need to be saved, do not forget to save them to another location prior to deleting the drive partitions and installing.
