I purchased a cryorig h7 cooler and an Intel core i7(damn that thing is fast). I am very impressed with the cooling power of the H7, I see why people call it the Evo 212 killer. My issue is though I had to remove mobo to install it and I don't know if I damaged something doing it. I have a constant speaker static and it gets louder when gaming. Things I have tried
- totally separating speaker wiring
- reinstalling driver
- made sure all connections were tight.

My speakers are a cheap 2.1 system. I am wondering if I need to get new speakers or a new sound card?

That sounds really odd. The static should only get louder if you yourself turn up the amplifier.

Anyway, have you made sure the cables from comp to speakers are 100 %? I don't know if a misaligned motherboard could create some sort of short circuit near the audio output or maybe the cooler creating unwanted interference or bending the board.

Is the static a hum or crackling?

Could you record it and put it on youtube or something?

So I installed a new sound card and it seems to be better for the moment, though I have to adjust the base. There are certain spots on the base knob that if it is set at the static is really bad. I have found a sweet spot where it is clear. Thanks for the help :)
