im build a new rig and i saw on a website store a warning on the GTX 980 Ti 6gb Vram saying:

"To have the best cooling performance, ASUS GTX980Ti extends the fansink to 2 slots. Please double check you Chassis and Motherboard dimension prior to purchase to make sure it fits in your system!"

and i wanted to buy this motherboard => "GigaByte GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK"

is the GTX 980 compatible with the "GigaByte GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK" motherboard?

and is asking to check the chassis ? what chassis ? the PC Case chassis ? (aah im kinda confused about this, can someone please explain me?)

by the way => as im building a new rig, i still dont have a PC Case

sorry for the "dumb" question

thanks

The 980ti is compatible with the motherboard, but what CPU do you have/are purchasing?
The chassis is the case yes, pretty much all cards now are dual slot, which means they will take up two of the removable PCI slots at the back of the case, if nothing is in the way there, it will fit. How much room do you have for the length of a graphics card in your case? (From the back of the case to the HDD cage or any obstruction)

everything is okay except perhaps the gpu.. i don't think it will fit, if it does it'll be tight one.

Well i still have time to choose a good case to fit in the 980 Ti
by the way, i already choose one case, its this one => Corsair Carbide 300R Window Black
what do you think?
you think i can fit in the 980 Ti without being tight on that case?
i choose that one to be easier to unscrew

if not, can you recommend me a good case?
i didnt wanted to choose a Large case because it takes lots of room
