For (almost) the same price, it's a big improvement. It's a Delta platform, and if you're familiar with their offerings, then you already know this is a good PSU, for its price. I want to stress the fact that this is by no means the only PSU for your system, and you can have 80+ Gold rated, fully modular units for a higher price. I only wanted to match ~ the price of the Corsair unit.
