I'm getting a connection through my wifi adapter, but it's too slow. One night I had my ethernet cable disconnected and I forgot to reconnect it back to the router (I have a router and a modem) and when I reconnected it the next day, I couldn't get any connection to the internet. Troubleshooting says "LAN doesn't have a valid IP configuration". I've tried resetting the router and modem, and have done ipconfig /release, /renew, but nothing seems to work. I'd like to point out that ipconfig shows odd info about my ethernet port. The subnet mask is incomplete and is missing other info. I've also tried manually entering info in the ethernet port properties.
