Can't seem to figure out why my RAM additions are failing...
I've exhausted my (limited) knowledge, now it's time for the pros :D
Any help would be super... well.. helpful.

Hardware:
ASRock 970m Pro 3
AMD FX-4350 Vishera (4.2Ghz Quad)
2x 4gb Hyper-x Fury DDR3-1866 (Dual Channel @ 906mhz 10-11-10-30)
550w PSU (Weird mounting in its cage, can't remember off hand the brand and can't see label)

All is humming along nicely so I decide to pick up another 8gb (2x4) Hyper-x Fury DDR3-1866 (EXACT same as currently installed) to round it all out and fill the remaining, lonely, 240-Pin RAM sockets... Except, Won't boot. Not a beep nor BIOS. I've (literally) been reading about RAM now for 5 hours and tried all approaches I've run across. Here's what I've tried.

Swapped the (2 known working) with the new 2
Adjusted NB voltage +0.10 ~ 20
Adjusted DRAM voltage +0.25 (ballpark)
Reset BIOS to Default
Set DRAM from 1866 to 1600

(Not necessarily in that order.) :heink:
...
Any ideas?

I never even thought of that!!! Jesus... those bastards. =) Thanks sooo much for your quick answer. I'm gonna give it a try at those voltages and see what I get. I'll report back in a bit

Nope. No dice.... The bright side i guess it that I now know enough about RAM to know that I don't know anything about RAM... That's kind of a racket huh? They tell you, "oh yeah, just get the same ram and you'll be fine..."
That''s a great article you did BTW I'm gonna sit down and read all of it in a bit.
If I were to have any chance getting it to work, what would be the threshold voltages do you think? Also, is there another CPU voltage adjustment to mess with other than just the NB? Thanks again mate!

Thanx, part 1 (FAQs) can be found here,

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/ddr3-dram-faq,review-33220.html

and sadly it's not really a racket, it's more that there are tons of people out in the forums all over everywhere that always tell people that "sure, just add more DRAM", "yeah, no problem" and the like. In the Myths part of that article "Item 2", that part in my submitted article actually started out to the effect

------You ever hear somebody say "yeah, just add more RAM, it will work fine", well If you see or hear this, you have four options, turn and run, ignore them; laugh or you can try and correct them, but often to no avail. So it’s your choice, and regardless of which route you take, be leery of where you heard it and don’t give the source a lot of credit for knowing systems.-------

I thought it rather attention getting ;) , but like other parts of the article it ended up on the editing floor :(

You will seldom to never hear it from a DRAM manufacturer or even a mobo maker. It's also why the DRAM manufacturers offer such a variety of sets, and they test sticks to pair up ones that will play (and be guaranteed to play) nice - that's how they guarantee them, if it was as easy to mix as so many people think it is the makers could just sell single stick packages and make higher profits

Seriously Tradesman, thank you. That article is EXACTLY what I was after! It answered all my questions and then some! (It also sprouted a half dozen other seedlings).

One last question jim... Out of curiosity I took one stick of the first 2 and another of the 2nd and it started up no prob... Does this give me any kind of hope that a config could remedy the situation because I can get them to play together? Or does that not really matter?
