Hello, im new on this board, and im not a native english speaker so i will try my best to explain my problem, i hope anyone can help me.
Bought this alienware years ago, had no problems until some weeks ago, my games started having FPS drops, from 60 stable fps to 1-4 fps for 40-60 seconds, then back to normal, this could occur once or twice a day, but 4 days for now it is ridiculous, i started playing Tibia again with a friend, not a very demanding game. But started having some fps drops, 4-6 fps for what seems to be 1 to 3 minutes, then it goes back to 40 fps, runs smoothly, then again, after a minute it goes 4-6fps.. I thought i was running out of memory, but checked task manager and found my memory doesn't change when having this problem, but my cpu speed falls from 1.98GHz when not having problems to 0.41 - 0.39 GHZ, it stays at this speed for the exact time i have the fps drop.
Utilization falls from 25-29% to 7-9% too.
Anyone knows what is causing this? is pretty frustrating..
