Hello everyone!

I've been around tomshardware for quite some time, but im not much of forum person. I just read posts/news. But now, i have a problem that i cant solve by myself and i hope You can help me.

My old PSU died after less then 5 years. It cannot be fixed as transformer died (i hope transformer is the right English word).
It was : Chieftec 600w - CFT-600-14CS

Before i continue, here is my PC-Spec :
CPU: i7 950 (stock clock)
GPU: PowerColor 6870 - AX6870 1GBD5-M2DHV2 (stock clock)
MB: GB X58A-UD3R
RAM: Mushkin 2x2GB - 996805r CL6-8-6-24
HDD: 1TB Samsung SpinPoint F3 and 1TB WD Caviar Green
Case: CM HAF 912
SSD: if i get a chance i would add some simple SSD, but i think 600W would still be enough

There are a loooot about CPUs and GPUs around, but not that much about first lane of defence. So i have no idea what to do :(

I want best 600W (at least 600W) PSU i can get for about 100euros (would consider going up to 120 if there is some PSU that makes big difference).
Also i would love it to be Modular / Semi-Modular.

In Serbia i can find this : Chieftec, CoolerMaster, Super Flower, Seasonic, Antec.. There are more but this ones ring a bell when i look at names (here is link of almost all PSUs there are in Serbia, on the left side you will see brand names: URL there are prices in Euros on this site also when you click on some PSU). There is limited and quite hard option to order something because Serbia is not part of EU, and it can get complicated on customs/border, so i would cross that option.

I can post ones i was thinkin about, but i'd love to hear from someone first :)
If there is some PSU you would like to recommend but you cant see it on this site i linked, i can check if it can be purchased in Serbia just give me the name of it.

(If someone is lookin at that link i sent - 100euros is about 12000din)

Thanks in advance!

Solution
The Super Flower (Leadex Gold) is the best on your list. Any of the others (except Silverstone) are very good quality options. The Antec and Cooler Master are also made by Seasonic.

Thank You for your answer!

That is just a small list i made from ones i found in Serbia soo far that are recommended on forum. I listed Silverstone eventho i think its the worst choice out of all on the list.

In my mind Super Flower is the best choice where the rest of the list follow in tight race. Maybe small adventage goes to Antec and CM ones because they are 80+Gold, while Seasonic are 80+Bronze?

Im tryin to check what warranty i get for each one right now.

Ye.. It gets crazy sometimes.. For no reason really. Some products (not only PC) are priced the same as all around the world. Sometimes stores even beat online prices. But sometimes this happens w/o explanation.

I did check the warranty i can get : SuperFlower, Antec and CM gets 5y ; while Seasonic gets 3y.

You both are not even considering Antec and CM one as i can see? 20-30euro difference for SuperFlower is 100% worth?

I see.. Im now about 90% sure that i will get SuperFlower one.. Just.. Will it fit into HAF912? Google says nothing and PC is not with me to measure its slot.. (old Chiftec one was shorter).

And also.. If it happens that store dont have SuperFlower and will not have it for a long time.. Should i go for Antec or CM one? As i guess those two are next choices?

Update :
Got Super Flower SF-650F14MG.
Its a bit bigger then old one, but still fits perfect.. Build and everything seems quite good.

Just one small thing.. There is switch "eco - auto".. In user-manual its quite short.. But.. I guess "eco" turns off cooling if its not needed and "auto" turns it on even if not needed on low RPM? Should i go for ECO or Auto?

Also can you please suggest program i can use for test? I want to see if everything is 100% ok. I always like to check if something new works 100% as it should. And is there need to do something like that?

That's exactly what it does: turns off the PSU fan if not needed, so you can reduce the noise if your PC is not under heavy load. And yes, it's safe to use ECO mode, it was designed for that purpose (alongside with increasing the fan lifespan).

I don't know of any software to do measurements on PSU, sorry. But if I hear something, I'll let you know. I don't really think you need testing, anyways: if your PC runs normally when doing normal stuff and under load (gaming, rendering, etc) it's safe to assume everything is ok. There should be no problem if you (or us :p) did the maths correctly.

Anyways, if the PSU fails or something (it can't provide enough power) you will notice it because your PC will suddenly shut down or do other batshit crazy stuff :p

I guess i will just do usuall tests.. To see if PC holds under heavy load :) As for its power it is 100% enough, for sure.

Btw, now that night has fallen.. It looks so sexy with back lights. (It glows white on the connectors, only if they are plugged in good). It does not go with my PC case lighting but.. I must say its nice :)
