Hey,

I wanted to make a new backup of my system drive and I cannot un-check my G: drive where I only have games installed.
It wants to backup an extra 250 GB of information when I only need to backup the 50 GB on my C:

Is there any way to fix this?

Cheers!

Did you by any chance have an older version of Windows installed on that drive at one point? It's currently being seen as a system disk, so it might have been improperly formatted after adding your SSD (my guess, since your setup is close to what I had before).

It's a new and fresh HDD. I only installed games on it so far. I don't have any system files on it.
The SSD has a fresh install of Windows 8.1.
My former Boot Drive (120GB intel 330 SSD) is not even in this PC anymore.

Nope, only the SSD was connected to the Motherboard when I installed windows.

Well, for now take some screenshots of your disk manager (right click on the start button and select "Disk Management"), if the G drive has anything other than "Primary Partition" in the description then you will know if it's an issue with a boot record on disk or an easier to fix error.

Yeah that's pretty much what I'm going to do. I just hope that the backup will be fine and usable after that.

Shame if I have to that every time I do a backup....

Here's a few from least to most disruptive:

1) Check the disk including hidden files to see if there's some system file there, and also making sure that the page file for the disk is off.
2) Try changing the drive letter
3) Temporally disable the drive in the drive manager
