my pc shuts off instantly sometimes, whether its when running high demanding games, or earlier it happened when i was just using photoshop. Im thinking its my PSU, but im not sure, i recently got a new 144hz monitor which has a plug to the pc so i can use the monitors USB ports, which plugs in to one of the pc' usb ports, if that makes sense, which i think uses more power, and my psu is a few years old, and i know its probably not that great.
also the fan to this psu blows down towards to the floor

Specs:
fx 8350 stock
msi r7950
H80i water cooler
8GB ram
Windows 10
Fractal Design Integra R2 750W
Cooler Master Elite 430 Case (case is kinda small, need bigger one for more airflow, my mosfets dont get much air flow)

is this psu good and would it fit in my case?

Are not your mosfets next to the CPU which has a cooling fan on it?

I look at the hardware list you provided, and one thing stands out. You have pretty nice gear until the very last item... The most important item in your case... The Power Supply.

We list the Cooler Master Elite series of power supplies as a Tier 4 unit, on a 5 Tier ranking system. Here is what the Power Supply List says about Tier 4 power supplies:

Tier Four
No Japanese capacitors found. Only Taiwanese capacitors and may even include Chinese capacitors. Very basic safety circuits or even thin gauge wiring used. Not for gaming rigs or overclocking systems of any kind. Avoid unless your budget dictates your choice.

So that unit has low quality capacitors in it. We do not recommend the use of any Tier 4 power supply in any gaming system. We do recommend that people only buy a Tier 1 or 2 power supply on that list. I will also add that any Seasonic, XFX or EVGA B2 power supply can be assumed to be Tier 1 or 2.

Now, having said all of this, I am not 100% certain that what you are experiencing is definitely the power supply causing this, but it is very indicative of failing capacitors.

The Corsair RM 850 watt unit is a Tier 2 unit on the Power Supply List.

You didin;t post your motherboard.

Possible reasons for random shutdown:
1.Mobo VRM overheating - > protection kicks in and kills system (change mobo)
2.USB port on the new monitor is causing a mass-loop(not really sure how it translates to english) disrupting your motherboard - don't connect the monitor to the usb on the pc
3. PSU dying and/or triggering the protection on because of the USB connection or something else that triggers a short.

Start by unplugging the USB and see what happens, then take your monitor connection cable (VGA/HDMI/DVI etc) and touch it while touching something metalic - if you get a small jolt then the monitor has some issues. Make sure the monitor is connected to the AC when you touch the signal cable - you shouldn't feel anything if the monitor is good.
