There is a wifi network that denies access to mobile devices such as cellphones and tablets. Pc's as well as mac's can easily connect with no issues.

Is there any way i can change my phone's IP address or Mac address so that it simulates that of a PC? Can I do anything so that on the network my phone appears as a pc or mac.

Just for further information i have the Galaxy S5.

Working IT... I can't feel comfortable saying anything other than "just don't." If you are trying to access the network at work with your phone, even if you were able to mask the fact that you're accessing the network on a mobile device, it will show up in some logs (as long as those logs are in fact monitored) and then your device could be blocked by its' specific address. You're pretty much asking for help to be able to hack on to a network. If you need internet, you're best to use your data plan as intended. Anything else... you don't force your way on to a network, you talk to IT and ask for permission. Since you're posting here, I can only assume you don't have/can't get permission...

I can definitely understand the reason for you concern. The wifi network that I am trying to connect to is completely open to all laptops and desktop computers. My only problem is that because it is a school they do not wish for the students to connect their phone and consequently I am unable to use my smartphone. The school is an old building made with thick walls wich allow no signal into the school turning most phones into color changing bricks. If they did actually check the logs and banned my Ip it would be fine because I would've lost nothing.
